  • For operating temperatures of -40°C (-40°F) to +70°C (+158°F).
  • For design temperatures of -50°C (-58°F) to +80°C (+176°F).
  • High plasticity and flexibility.
  • No preheating of the surface required.
  • Easiest manual processing.
  • PLASTELEN®-Feu is a cold-applied petrolatum-based corrosion prevention tape.
  • PLASTELEN®-Feu consists of an impregnated polypropylene non-woven carrier, which is coated on both sides with a corrosion prevention petrolatum mastic. The petrolatum mastic is stabilised by polymer additives, which means that PLASTELEN®-Feu can be used at operating temperatures of -40°C (-40°F) to +70°C (+158°F). PLASTELEN®-Feu coats the surface without the need to preheat, even at low temperatures.

PLASTELEN®-Feu : Industries and solutions

PLASTELEN®-Feu is primarily used for corrosion prevention on metallic construction components that have complicated shapes, or on uneven surfaces in pipeline construction and power station and pipeline station construction. Even in less common applications, including use as a galvanic isolation layer, to seal thermally insulated metal sheet encasements around cold or hot pipelines, or to seal industrial glazing or greenhouses, PLASTELEN®-Feu has proven its innovative characteristics across the world.
