Replacement of a cast iron pipeline that is over 100 years old and is responsible for supplying water to around 3,000,000 people. Around 600 metres of the pipeline run through a water protection area in Heidenheim. There are particularly stringent requirements for the materials that can and cannot be used. For example, the use of a primer is strictly prohibited for the weld seam coating.
