Confidence and precision: The TOKOMAT®-process turns 25 years old.
Since 1995, the TOKOMAT®-process has been successfully deployed in the refurbishment of asphalt surfaces on roads and airstrips. Across Europe, the solution has been used to restore joints on motorways, national A-roads and runways with speed and precision. The TOKOMAT® applies the TOK® bar at an exceptionally rapid rate of 15 metres per minute, making it twice as fast as conventional solutions. Once the new joint tape has been applied, the site can be reopened to traffic immediately. See the efficiency of the process for yourself in this video.

DENSO & EUGAL: Second string laid in conservation area using microtunneling process
The second string of the EUGAL gas pipeline is currently being laid in Germany. The pipeline, which has a diameter of 1.4 m (DN 1400, 56"), runs parallel to the OPAL pipeline, from the connection to North Stream 2 to the Czech Republic. Within the nature conservation around the river Peene, the pipeline is being laid through a 1,000 metre long tunnel using the microtunnelling process. DENSO has been involved in the pipeline project since the beginning of the construction. During trenchless installation, the field joint coatings are exposed to immense mechanical loads. For this reason, an absolutely resistant and reliable corrosion protection system is indispensable. DENSOLEN® PE/butyl tapes and the DEPROTEC®-GFK System guarantee protection over decades. Self-healing with DEKOTEC®-BTS60: For minor damages on shrink sleeves.
With the launch of DEKOTEC®-BTS60, DENSO is expanding its globally successful portfolio of shrink sleeves with a butyl sleeve. The special butyl rubber coating on the DEKOTEC®-BTS60 sleeve possesses a self-healing function (Fig.2) : Minor mechanical damages to the sleeve are automatically repaired. The process does not require any time-consuming rust removal work or pre-heating. Thanks to the simple and quick application process, DEKOTEC®-BTS60 is an exceptionally cost effective solution and fulfils the ISO 21809-3 as well as the class C60 in accordance with EN 12068.
